TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

By air: There are daily flights from Luton and Stansted to Dinard: www.ryanair.com

Flights from Southampton to Rennes also go every day: www.flybe.com Both flights take less than an hour, and both airports are about 1hr 30min by car from le Moulin. Relatively cheap car hire is available at the airports, but we can collect people by arrangement for an extra cost. There is no easy way to take a train, nor are there any local buses.

By sea: Ferries run from Portsmouth to Cherbourg or Caen, both about 1hr 30min away: www.brittany-ferries.com , Portsmouth to Le Havre (2hr+): www.LDLines.com , Dover to Boulogne (4hr): www.speedferries.com and more. These vary enormously in cost and timetabling, but early booking is always an advantage. For a long list of ferry operators, try www.ferriesdirect.org .

See our website www.lemoulin50410.com for more details. Specific directions by road will be sent to participants on completion of booking procedures.

Manche

Le Moulin is very easy to find. We are 1.5 km west of Villebaudon centre, on the road to Hambye. Look on a map and you’ll see the little river Soulles. As you’d expect, our ‘hameau’ is on the river. The mill, the barn, and the farmhouse (where we live) are set in an ancient quarry, surrounded by trees and the sound of running water.
