My two Poetry School Courses: Taking Your Writing Further and Prose and Poetry are full for this term but I am always pleased to receive applications for the waiting list These are continuing monthly courses for advanced writers keen to develop their work. Please send work as a Word Attachment. For Taking Your Writing Further send six poems, for Prose and Poetry send 3 poems or 2/3 pages of prose [or short samples of both]. Both workshops take place at my house which is in Arnos Grove North London, 10 minutes walk from Arnos Grove Underground Station on the Piccadilly Line.

I have run creative writing courses for twelve years. A number of these I have co-tutored with John Killick and we have worked together at Missenden Abbey Weekends several times running prose and poetry courses. We have also run courses at the Nant Centre in North Wales and at Holland House in Cropthorne, Worcestershire. Several of our courses have focussed on writing for self-discovery. Last year we ran a workshop for the Chester Literary Festival.

I have run courses or one-off workshops for Anglia University, writing groups such as Thin Raft Poets in Reading, Norwich and Ipswich Poetry Societies, Tongues and Grooves in Portsmouth and at many other venues. For many years I have co-tutored The Second Light Conference at Launde Abbey, Leicestershire and this year at Holland House, Cropthorne. This October I am running a workshop at the Imagine Festival in Waterford, Ireland.

My two Poetry School courses have monthly sessions. Taking Your Writing Further and Prose and Poetry are for writers of experience. Taking Your Writing Further is intensive and meets on a Tuesday usually towards the end of the month from 1.30 - 4.30 pm. Prose and Poetry is also for writers committed to developing their work and meets on Wednesday evenings from 7.45 - 9.45 pm. It has one Saturday morning session per term.
